That Girl
Ann-Marie. Who is she? Well she's That Girl. You know, Marlo Thomas in the t.v. sitcom from the late 60's. I loved those shows. She was a quirky, mod dresser who lived in an apartment in Manhattan and got into all sorts of predicaments. She was likeable and funny. Her boyfriend was a sensible, almost Dick Van Dyke type and they had great chemistry. Have a minute to see a bit? It's worth your time. Here's the link to a clip on you tube. This episode is when Ann Marie and Donald were going to meet her parents and all kinds of things went wrong. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OUBNjNX0xo ) If you like Doris Day or The Flying nun, Bewitched, Get Smart or even Annette Funicello - Then I think we should back comb our hair and put on some patent go go boots. Then we need to rent some of those old movies together. I love the fashions- they are so great! Get a load of the turkey on a leash and the striped dress on Anne-Marie. "99" has some pretty stylin stuff going on there too! I'm thinking I've got to add those ones to my CD library of greats.

Oh that girl... "I will bear your pain my friend". I loved it when she said that to Donald.
She was so cute. Who on earth would pick an eye contact up from inside a shoe that was on the ground, and stick it back in their eye??
I also always liked " Patty Duke" and "Mary Tyler Moore".
Wish upon a star girlfriend. You never know what "the godmother" might have in store for you!!.
Love You

I loved "That Girl" and "Get Smart." Those were fun shows! I know this makes me sound OLD, but I just think the programs now are so mindless I can't stand to watch. If I turn on the TV it's to watch Turner Classic Movies or oldie shows. There was such clever repartee.
XO,
Sheila :-)
Where is THAT GIRL?
Come on I know you got lots to talk about...come on now.

Hi Julie! You haven't posted in awhile! Hope all is well with you! Wonder if we'll get the snow that they keep forecasting?? I had fun seeing you and dinner was great! I guess you are busy with Christmas stuff like everyone else. Hopefully you will get a bit of time off at Christmas. I know when I worked at the nursing home it went 24/7 and getting time off with the family at Christmas was tough!
She was ADORABLE!!! Gotta LOVE that hair too! CLASSIC!!!
