Let's go "junkin" out west girls!

But that's not junk! Those are treasures.... great finds....... yesterdays memories and tomorrows stories!
Being that I just got home from a fabulous roadtrip that began in Ottawa and took me and one of my "besties" down through the southern states I can tell you that a roadtrip on the westcoast to Spokane, Washington is a must for the calendar. Are you in?

Follow us.......

and follow this link to find out more - http://www.thefarmchicks.com/show.

" What began as a little sale in a friend's barn in 2002, became The Farm Chicks Antiques Show with antiques, vintage objects, handmade goods, and wonderful vendors. The show, held annually on the west coast is host to approximately 150 vendors and draws visitors from across the country."

And the best part is.... we are all invited to go! Can you imagine what we might find? Vintage knockers, wire dress forms, colored glass, or some old postcards with peoples messages recorded on the back.

These girls who are hosting are truly savy. You will love their website right away. What is a Farm Chick? I quote them from thier post:

"A Farm Chick is a girl who sees the world through rose-colored glasses. She loves her family. She laughs a lot. She's farmgirl meets Fifth Avenue and with a little style, she'll change the world."

I LOVE THAT.

Serena herself has a blog and you can check in on her http://thefarmchicks.typepad.com

Rose colored glasses - everyone needs a pair of those.

A friend to sit and have coffee with - I bet there's a few of those there too.

I think we should buy a truck girls. Can we all chip in? Laughter, sing-songs, coffee stops, and lot's of browsing, shopping and dreaming.

Who will make the best find? The craziest find? The "oh, I wanted that" find. It could be one of you too.

Just gotta go.

Jewells.

Well I could only WISH to go junkin with all of you. I know the girls. I've read about them for a while now. Lucky for you to be so close by. That would be a great little road trip wouldn't it?
I know that old bag sitting up on that shelf quite well lol She posed with me in Savannah. Speaking of Savannah, I was on line with Cheryl from "Back in the Day" Bakery. Did you realize her last name is DAY? hence Back in the DAY... thought that was interesting.
So Julie, if you do do to the "farm chicks market" pretend I'm sitting next to you enjoying the ride.
Miss you BFF
Love Claudie

That looks like fun Julie. I like the Farm Chicks Blog! I have it on my list of favourites. I thought I'd been to Spokane but I think it's Wenatchee I went to. Ken and I went to Leavenworth once. Not sure if you've been there before. Such a beautiful little bavarian town up in the mountains near Stevens Pass all on the way to Spokane. Looks like Spokane is almost on the border of Idaho. I think you must have road trip fever withdrawls! LOL!!
Hope you're doing good. I'm just dealing with life and all the curve balls it seems to be throwing my way right now : S Bye for now Sherri XO

So this is where you have been hiding out. I have been trying to find you for a while but the links to the messages you left never worked before. I just got here from Claudie's blog. I will be back often now that I know where to find you.

Good heavenly morning Julie, I am sooo sorry I have been MIA. I have been out and about, working in the yard etc.etc.etc. These past weeks have flown by. sigh. I had to have some Julie philosophy this morning. smile.

Love this post. I must visit the Farm Chicks. My mom was a Farm Chick and I can tell ya, she always looked through the world with rose colored glasses. We loved her like that. She found the good in everything and every person she knew. Smile.

I see something very familiar in your post. It is made of wire. HA!
A road trip West sounds great. I have already done that to go to Glacier National Park. No farther West than that though. We can dream.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
Love you lots, Jeanne
